The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on December 19, 1938, officiated by Elder David Smith. Fast forward to October 19, 1940, and the site was dedicated by Prophet David O. The Temple underwent a renovation completed in 2017, which included a two-year transformation that enhanced its functionality. Noteworthy updates featured an additional exit for the Bride and Groom’s room and a spacious wedding waiting area, alongside numerous technological advances to electrical systems.
