The announcement of the Ephraim Utah Temple came on May 1, 2021, bringing hope and anticipation to Church members throughout Sanpete County and surrounding areas. The groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony took place on August 27, 2022, led by President Russell M. Nelson, the prophet of the Church. This solemn occasion marked the official commencement of construction on this important religious facility.

The Ephraim Utah Temple will be conveniently located at 400 East 200 North, Ephraim, Utah 84627, placing it within easy reach of local members and those traveling from nearby communities.
The Temple will encompass an impressive 39,000 square feet of interior space, situated at an elevation of 5,567 feet above sea level. This substantial size allows for multiple functional areas designed to serve the religious needs of patrons.
Facilities and Interior Features
The Temple’s layout includes several key areas for sacred ordinances:
- Four instruction rooms for teaching and preparation
- Three sealing rooms for eternal marriage covenants and family sealing ordinances
- One baptistry for proxy baptism work
Each of the four endowment rooms has been designed to accommodate 30 people, ensuring intimate and focused spiritual experiences for those in attendance.
