Prevalent Generations of One Family All Worshipped in the Same Building — Now It’s the Lindon Utah Temple
The Lindon Utah Temple announcement came on October 4, 2020 by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson. The rendering was released to the public on April 26, 2021. Groundbreaking and site dedication was on April 23, 2022 by Elder Kevin W. Pearson who stated that the construction of Thy holy house here in Lindon would continue to bless the local area with peace, love and unity.
Announcement and Groundbreaking
The Lindon Utah Temple Open house is from March 12, 2026 through April 11, 2026. Following this period, the Lindon Utah Temple will be dedicated on May 3, 2026.
Leadership and Dedication
The first President and Matron of the Lindon Utah Temple are Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt. This edifice will be Utah 25th dedicated Temple built in the beautiful State of Utah, and it is the seventh Temple built in Utah County.
Architecture and Features
Interior and Exterior Design
The Lindon Utah Temple is located at 850 E Center Street Lindon, Utah 84042. It will help support the small city of Lindon of 11,000 people which is just south of Pleasant Grove Utah and North of Orem Utah. The Lindon Utah Temple is built on 11.87 acres at an elevation of 4,817 feet, and the total floor area is 87,005 square feet.
Exterior and Grounds
The Lindon Utah Temple exterior is granite. Its architectural features include two attached end spires with no gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue. Around the Lindon Utah Temple, the parking lot will surround the Temple in a circular fashion with black ornamental fencing. At the North East corner, there is an outdoor space where bridal parties can take photographs of the Lindon Utah Temple in the background. The Temple decor on the stained glass and throughout the Temple will have the areas Agrarian roots including the Linden Tree Flower.
Interior Accommodations
Inside, the Lindon Utah Temple has four instruction rooms each room seats 50 people, four sealing rooms and two baptistries.
