Great news from Montpelier, Idaho! The Montpelier Idaho Temple is coming to life, and we couldn’t be more excited! With the parking lot freshly striped and the exterior lighting shining brightly, it’s clear that this spiritual haven is well on its way. Landscaping and interior finishes are moving along nicely, with the big completion date expected in early to mid-2026. Just think of the excitement surrounding the open house and dedication ceremonies that will follow!

This temple was announced on May 20, 2022, and it’s the eighth temple in our beautiful state of Idaho. Located at Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254, its charming central tower will surely become a beloved feature. Spanning 27,000 square feet, it will offer two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, creating a lovely space for worship and connection.

Set at an elevation of 5,969 feet and spread across 2.6 acres of beautiful land, the temple will fit right into Idaho’s stunning scenery. The groundbreaking on June 17, 2023, was a special occasion led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, who shared heartfelt blessings for everyone involved in this exciting project.

Montpelier itself is a quaint town with over 2,500 friendly faces, and its rich history dates back to the early pioneers who settled here in 1855. The official rendering of the temple, unveiled on April 24, 2023, shows off a design that truly reflects the spirit of our community.

As we watch this amazing building take shape, there’s a warmth in our hearts knowing that it will soon serve as a place of peace and connection for all of us. We can’t wait to see the Montpelier Idaho Temple open its doors and become a cherished gathering place in our town!
