Nestled in the beautiful landscape of Payson, Utah, the Payson Utah Temple stands as the 146th dedicated temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, symbolizing hope and sanctuary for its visitors. In a momentous proclamation on January 25, 2010, Prophet Thomas S. Monson shared the profound significance of temples, stating, “Temples answer those soul-searching questions of the purpose of life, of why we are here and where we are going. They are sanctuaries from the storms of life and bless the lives of members of the Church who Temple  within their sacred walls.”

The journey to the temple’s completion began with a groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony on October 8, 2011, led by Apostle Dallin H. Oaks. Just a few years later, an incredible 475,542 visitors flooded in during the public open house from April 24 to May 23, 2015, eager to experience its serene beauty.

On June 7, 2015, the temple was officially dedicated, with the inspiring words of Apostle Henry B. Eyring resonating within its sacred walls. Covering a stunning 96,630 square feet and built on 10.63 acres, the temple features elegant cream precast concrete panels on its exterior, highlighted by a striking single central spire crowned with a radiant, gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni.

Inside, Temple ers can find three instruction rooms, seven sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all designed to facilitate spiritual growth and connection. Towering at 208 feet high and perched at an elevation of 4,691 feet, the Payson Utah Temple is not only a beacon of faith but also a notable landmark, sitting proudly adjacent to I-15, where it captures the attention of countless travelers every day and night.

The temple holds a special place in the hearts of many as the fifteenth temple built in Utah and the third in Utah County. Its address—1494 S 930 W Payson, Utah 84651—leads to an oasis of peace and reflection, inviting all to come and experience the warmth and inspiration that it offers.
