President Eyring highlighted the importance of such buildings in the religious lives of the faithful, emphasizing their sacred nature.
After years of construction, the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple was officially dedicated on September 18, 2016, also conducted by Apostle Henry B. Eyring. This date resonated with historical significance, as it marked the 240th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. In his dedicatory prayer, President Eyring reflected on the importance of freedom and the values enshrined in the Constitution, tying them to the temple’s purpose.

The architectural design is complemented by a single attached end spire featuring a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which stands at an impressive 21 feet, 2 inches tall.
