The journey to this temple began on May 24, 2008, when Prophet Thomas S. Monson announced its construction with a powerful message of hope. He emphasized that this sacred space would allow individuals to experience God’s love and gain a profound understanding of their divine potential. 

On June 4, 2011, the temple’s groundbreaking took place, officiated by Apostle Ronald A. Rasband. This event marked a pivotal moment in the community as anticipation surged for what this temple would contribute. After years of dedicated work, the doors opened for a public open house from October 10 to November 1, 2014, with eager guests discovering its serene beauty.

The temple was formally dedicated on November 16, 2014, by Prophet Thomas S. Monson, solidifying its place in the hearts of the community. Spanning an impressive 64,870 square feet and standing at 90 feet tall, the temple is elegantly set on 5.19 acres. Its exterior showcases stunning precast colored concrete panels and is crowned by a striking golden Angel Moroni statue, which was placed atop the spire on May 15, 2013.
