Groundbreaking Ceremony: A Moment to Remember
On June 1, 2024, the official groundbreaking and site dedication took place, led by the esteemed Elder Vaiangina Sikahema. This momentous occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ohio, igniting excitement amongst the faithful and local community alike.
Location and Features
Positioned on a sprawling 12.5 acres at 5997 Brecksville Road, Independence, Ohio 44131, the Cleveland Ohio Temple will be a stunning architectural marvel featuring a single attached central spire. Although it will not have a gold-leafed Angel Moroni, its design is certain to create a striking presence against the skyline.
With a size of 9,900 square feet, this temple will stand proudly at an elevation of 733 feet. Crafted from elegant granite, the exterior promises to be both beautiful and enduring, representing a steadfast foundation for the community.
Modern Amenities for Worship and Reflection
The Cleveland Ohio Temple will serve its members by featuring one instruction room, one sealing room, and a baptistry—all essential spaces for worship and sacred ordinances. Additionally, it will share a parking lot with a meetinghouse, ensuring that the facilities support a thriving congregation and community activities.
