LDS Temple News Presents Farmington New Mexico Temple a House of the Lord.

LDS Temple News is excited to celebrate a significant milestone with the upcoming Farmington, New Mexico, Temple, which will be only the second of its kind in the state for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. President Russell M. Nelson announced this inspiring project in April 2021, and it took a major step forward with a historic groundbreaking led by Elder Anthony D. Perkins on April 30, 2022. The new temple will be located on a beautiful 6.62-acre site at the intersection of College Boulevard and Windsor Drive. This welcoming single-story sanctuary will span approximately 25,000 square feet and will include a community meetinghouse. The thoughtful design of the temple pays homage to the local heritage, blending American influences with native flora to reflect the vibrant culture of the surrounding community.
