Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Fort Collins, Colorado, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple stands as the 153rd Operating Temple within its religious tradition. Located at 2180 Majestic Dr, this exquisite site is a remarkable addition to the local area.

A Brief History

The journey to establishing this Temple began when it was announced on April 2, 2011, by Prophet Thomas S. Monson. The anticipation culminated in a significant event on August 24, 2013, when Ronald A. Rasband presided over the groundbreaking and site dedication, marking the start of its physical construction.

Architectural Features

Covering 15.69 acres, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple features stunning beige concrete panels that provide a clean yet elegant aesthetic. At 42,000 square feet and reaching a height of 112 feet, its impressive central tower houses a beautifully crafted gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which was installed on August 26, 2015.

Inside, the Temple is thoughtfully designed to include two instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry, fulfilling essential functions within the practices it supports. A beautiful chapel can also be found across the nearby residential street, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the area.

Opening and Dedication

An extensive public open house ran from August 19 through September 10, 2016, attracting a remarkable total of 105,000 individuals eager to tour the new site. The dedication took place on October 16, 2016, presided over by Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf, solidifying the Temple’s role within the larger framework of regional faith practice.
