A Milestone in Its Journey

The journey to the creation of the Fort Collins Colorado Temple commenced with an announcement by Prophet Thomas S. Monson on April 2, 2011. After years of anticipation, the site was officially dedicated and groundbreaking took place on August 24, 2013, led by Ronald A. Rasband. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a transformative endeavor that would culminate in a space designed for reflection and connection.

Architectural Features

Spanning 42,000 square feet and built from beige concrete panels, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple integrates seamlessly into its surroundings. The structure features a single attached central tower, embellished with a striking gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which was installed on August 26, 2015. Standing at a height of 112 feet, this striking tower symbolizes the aspirations and spirit of the area while enhancing the skyline.

The Temple is situated on 15.69 acres, with a chapel located just across the residential street, allowing for a tranquil atmosphere. Inside, the layout includes two instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all designed with intricate attention to detail.

The Fort Collins Colorado Temple was officially dedicated on October 16, 2016, by the Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf. This significant event was the culmination of years of effort and dedication, reflecting the commitment of all those involved in bringing the vision to life.

Open House Experience

In anticipation of its dedication, the Temple held a public open house from August 19th through September 10, 2016. During this period, more than 105,000 individuals had the opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty and purpose of the space.
