Sitting on 10.3 acres, the Las Vegas Nevada Temple measures 80,350 square feet and reaches a height of 137 feet. The exterior features white precast stone walls complemented by a copper roof and detailed accents. Six soaring spires, crowned with an angel Moroni statue, add to its striking profile. The art glass design incorporates geometric, Art Deco-inspired patterns that resonate with the desert landscape.
Interior Features
The interior reveals an exquisite atmosphere, highlighted by breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows in the Celestial Room, which allow natural light to create striking displays. The room showcases two grand chandeliers crafted by Preciosa, featuring thousands of pieces of cut crystal. The artwork within includes a prominent desert-scape mural in the marriage waiting room, enhanced by stained-glass windows portraying desert lilies.

Historical Significance
The Las Vegas Nevada Temple was announced on April 7, 1984, by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. Groundbreaking took place on November 30, 1985, with over 6,000 members in attendance at a ceremony held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This event included a presentation of Church leaders participating in the ceremonial turning of the earth.
The public open house ran from November 16 to December 9, 1989, attracting over 297,000 attendees, with the final day witnessing more than 21,000 visitors. The Temple was formally dedicated over three days from December 16 to December 18, 1989, by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley.
Community Contributions
Following the announcement for the Temple, members of the surrounding area rallied together, raising $11 million, surpassing their assessment by an impressive 428%. This communal effort underscores the deep connection and commitment of those in the area toward this significant addition.
Opening Additions
In 2012, a family history center opened on the grounds, further enhancing the offerings associated with the Las Vegas Nevada Temple.
