After years of anticipation, the temple opened its doors to the public for a delightful open house from November 16 to December 9, 1989, where nearly 297,480 visitors explored its beauty. This excitement led up to the formal dedication, which took place from December 16 to 18, 1989, once again officiated by President Hinckley.
The temple sits on a lovely 10.3-acre site, showcasing an impressive 80,350 square feet. Its elegant design features a bright white precast stone exterior and a charming copper roof. With six graceful spires reaching towards the sky, each topped with a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni, it stands as a beautiful symbol of faith. The angel Moroni faces east, bringing a sense of anticipation for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
