LDS Temple News Presents Lehi Utah Temple a House of the Lord

On April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson confidently announced the construction of the Lehi Utah Temple during the 194th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This impressive temple will be built on a spacious 22.48-acre site located at the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi, Utah.

The Lehi Utah Temple will showcase a distinctive design, featuring a striking single attached central spire. Notably, it will not include a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni, setting it apart from many other temples. With a total area of 85,000 square feet and an elevation of 4,085 feet, this temple will undoubtedly become a prominent landmark in the region.

While a ground-breaking date has not yet been announced, the release of the temple rendering on February 24, 2025, has already generated considerable excitement and anticipation within the community.

Lehi is at the heart of Utah’s flourishing technology sector, often referred to as Silicon Slopes, and will proudly be home to the 30th temple announced in the state. Utah is currently home to around 2.2 million Latter-day Saints, representing nearly two-thirds of the state’s population and organized into more than 5,400 congregations. With its rich history dating back to its pioneer settlement in 1850, Lehi is poised to gain a vital spiritual and community hub that will strengthen the faith and unity of its residents and surrounding areas.
