On April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans for the Lehi Utah Temple during the 194th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This upcoming temple will be constructed on a 22.48-acre site located at the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi, Utah.

The Lehi Utah Temple will feature a unique architectural design, including a single attached central spire. Unlike many other temples, it will not include a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni. The total area of the temple will be 85,000 square feet, and it will be situated at an elevation of 4,085 feet, which adds to its prominence in the area.

As of now, there has been no ground-breaking date announced for the construction. However, the temple rendering was unveiled to the public on February 24, 2025, providing a visual representation of what the completed structure will look like.

Lehi is situated within Utah’s expanding technology sector, commonly referred to as Silicon Slopes. This area is known for its rapid growth and innovation and will be home to the 30th temple announced in Utah. Currently, the state is home to approximately 2.2 million Latter-day Saints, which accounts for nearly two-thirds of the state’s population, organized into more than 5,400 congregations. The city of Lehi has a rich history, having been first settled by pioneers in 1850, and the new temple will serve as a significant spiritual and community hub for both current residents and those in surrounding areas.
