This beloved tradition attracts visitors from all over, offering a dazzling display from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 to 10 p.m. daily through January 1st. While some areas of the square are still undergoing renovations, you can still enjoy much of what this enchanting place has to offer, including an eagerly anticipated open house celebration for the Salt Lake Temple set to begin in April 2027.
Stroll through the square and take in the festive sights, including the grand Christmas tree at City Creek Center, the whimsical candy windows at Macy’s, and the captivating seasonal display titled “The Turning Season in the Eccles Theater lobby. Don’t forget to lace up your skates for a spin around the ice rink at Gallivan Center and soak in the vibrant “Glow installation!

The Roof Restaurant Treat yourself to a delightful dining experience with holiday reservations now open on the top floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, which recently reopened its doors on November 14th.
The Church History Museum Discover the rich heritage of the season with musical performances from local community and school groups, a stunning display of Victorian Christmas decor, and the heartwarming Giving Machines in the lobby. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays.
The Conference Center Marvel at the large, Christmasthemed artworks on display, available for viewing Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“Music and the Spoken Word Don’t miss the joyous live performances every Sunday at 930 a.m., with a special show on December 14th featuring the talented Block and Arcelus. Admission is free and no advance tickets are necessary!
“Savior of the World Immerse yourself in this theatrical experience running daily (except Sundays and Mondays) at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. until December 27th in the Conference Center’s Little Theater. While tickets are distributed, a standby line will be available for those looking to catch this popular performance.
