LDS Temple News Presents Lindon Utah Temple a House of the Lord
The Lindon Utah Temple, located at 850 E Center Street, Lindon, Utah 84042, is an exciting addition to Utah’s spiritual landscape. Announced on October 4, 2020, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, this Temple is set to become a notable part of the community.
Construction and Features
The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022, by Elder Kevin W. Pearson, who expressed the hope that this endeavor would bless the area with peace, love, and unity. The Temple will cover 11.87 acres and boasts a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, built at an elevation of 4,817 feet.
Architecturally, the exterior is crafted from granite and features two attached end spires, without the traditional gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue. Inside, the Temple includes four instruction rooms that seat 50 individuals each, four sealing rooms, and two baptistries. The decor incorporates the local agrarian roots, featuring motifs of the Linden Tree Flower, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the area.
Open House and Dedication
The Lindon Utah Temple will have an Open House from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. The official dedication is scheduled for May 3, 2026. This Temple is noteworthy as it marks the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh Temple built in Utah County.
Community Impact
With a population of approximately 11,000 people, Lindon is situated just south of Pleasant Grove and north of Orem. The arrival of the Lindon Utah Temple is expected to play a significant role in supporting and enhancing the local area, bringing a sense of unity and shared purpose.

An interesting feature is located at the northeast corner of the Temple, where a designated area allows bridal parties to take photographs against the stunning backdrop of the Temple.
