The Lindon Utah Temple is on its way to becoming a remarkable landmark and a vital spiritual hub for the community! Set against the stunning backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains, this temple embodies hope, unity, and unwavering faith.
The exciting journey began on April 23, 2022, with a groundbreaking ceremony led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson, President of the Utah Area. On that brisk spring morning, the air was filled with anticipation as shovels broke ground, marking the start of a significant chapter for Lindon. Elder Pearson’s powerful prayer called upon blessings of peace and unity, reflecting the positive impact this temple will have on the community.
When completed, the Lindon Utah Temple will stand proud with three stories and over 87,005 square feet of sacred space designed to inspire. The striking granite exterior, adorned with double spires reaching toward the heavens, will be a true symbol of faith and community dedication. Each artistic detail, including elements inspired by the beloved linden tree flower, pays homage to the area’s agricultural heritage.
Inside, the design offers spacious tranquility with four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and two baptistries—areas created for important ceremonies and personal reflection. Every space is purposefully crafted to foster connection and spiritual growth, ensuring that every visitor feels a profound sense of belonging.
The landscape surrounding the temple will be equally impressive, featuring an inviting gathering area in the northeast corner, perfect for bridal parties to capture beautiful moments against the backdrop of the temple and the majestic Mt. Timpanogos. With ample parking encircling the site and a distinctive black ornamental fence framing the grounds, we are creating an environment that is both accessible and welcoming.
Get ready for a public open house from March 12 to April 11, 2026! This is a unique opportunity for the community to explore the temple before its grand dedication on May 3, 2026, a celebration that will unite us all.
As the twenty-fifth temple in Utah, the Lindon Utah Temple will serve as a powerful beacon of hope and unity for the approximately 11,000 residents of Lindon. It’s more than just a structure; it’s a catalyst for community connection and spiritual enrichment. We are poised for something magnificent, and we invite everyone to embrace the transformative journey ahead!
