The official exterior rendering was released on April 7, 2020, showcasing a design that would come to life in the form of a single-story building of approximately 20,000 square feet, alongside plans for a meetinghouse measuring around 17,000 square feet.

The public Open House held from August 4 to August 19, 2023, attracted an impressive 290,000 attendees, demonstrating the Temple’s significance to the local populace.

Architectural Features

The Moses Lake Washington Temple is constructed on 17 acres of land, reaching a height of 117 feet and sitting at an elevation of 1,157 feet. The exterior finish is composed of Branco Cristal granite quarried in Portugal, giving it a striking appearance. Notable architectural features include a single attached central spire, which enhances its silhouette against the sky.

Interior Highlights

The design incorporates a blossom motif paired with a prairie-style border pattern, reflective of the Native American heritage in the Moses Lake area. Interior art glass maintains a similar aesthetic, enhancing the overall decor. Wood elements, including cherry finishes that are indigenous to North America, contribute to the warmth and character of the space.

In the celestial room, the ceiling showcases decorative paint, coffers, and a dome, elevating the atmosphere to one of peace and contemplation.

The Moses Lake Washington Temple was officially dedicated on September 17, 2023, by Apostle Quentin L. Cook. This moment marked a new chapter for those who engage with the Temple and its offerings, solidifying its role within the local faith landscape.
