Design and Features

An official exterior rendering was unveiled on April 7, 2020, showcasing the planned layout of a single-story building covering approximately 20,000 square feet. The architectural design includes a central spire, adding vertical elegance to the structure. The total floor area of the Temple is 28,933 square feet, sitting on 17 acres of land at an elevation of 1,157 feet.

The exterior finish combines Branco Cristal granite quarried in Portugal, while the walls are constructed using insulated concrete forms, topped with a steel roof and spire. Notably, the Temple features a blossom motif with a prairie-style border pattern, inspired by the Native Americans who originally inhabited the Moses Lake area.

The interior consists of marble, carpet, and porcelain tile flooring. Beautiful art glass throughout reflects the apple blossom motif, creating a cohesive aesthetic. Metallic elements add elegance, with bronze and glass railings enhancing the font areas, while decorative hardware, including cherry-stained doors and bronze brass finishes, enrich the overall design.

Unique Interior Spaces

Inside, the Temple is designed to accommodate specific space needs, including two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and one baptistry. The celestial room features a captivating ceiling adorned with decorative paint, coffers, and a dome, inviting a sense of contemplation.

The Moses Lake Washington Temple is not only a significant spiritual center but also a masterpiece of architecture and design, enriching the lives of those who come to experience its offerings.
