Just a year later, from July 8 to 22, 2000, the temple opened its doors for an eagerly anticipated public open house, culminating in its dedication on July 30, 2000, by Apostle James E. Faust.

In 2019, the temple underwent extensive renovations, closing from October 15, 2017, until May 19, 2019, when it was beautifully rededicated by Apostle Henry B. Eyring after a second public open house.
