The groundbreaking ceremony held on November 7, 2020, by Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland, honored the pioneers whose dedication built the St. George Temple, a cherished Temple of faith for over 150 years. Today, the Red Cliffs Utah Temple takes its rightful place as the 189th dedicated Temple in operation, signifying a blossoming Temple that continues to grow stronger. Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland said, “We salute those pioneers who, with sacrifice and sweat, built just a mile or so away the beautiful St. George temple that has provided a symbolic anchor of our faith in this part of the state for a century and a half.”
Located at 1555 S Red Cliffs Temple Ln, the Red Cliffs Utah Temple is an impressive sight! With palm trees adorning the entrance and a striking spire soaring to 230 feet, crowned with a beautiful gold-leafed angel moroni statue, it captures attention and admiration from all patrons who visit.
Get ready for a remarkable experience! The Red Cliffs Utah Temple was from February 1 to March 2, 2024, led by Apostle Henry B. Eyring, with the official dedication set for March 24, 2024. Inside, visitors will discover 96,277 square feet of beautifully designed sacred space, featuring four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and an inviting baptistry. The design draws from the stunning members flora, including delicate succulents and the vibrant Indian paintbrush, making the interior not just visually appealing but deeply connected to the region’s natural beauty.
Step outside, and you’ll be immersed in the Temple grounds, designed for serenity and reflection. Three tranquil pools, complete with soothing waterfalls, create a peaceful atmosphere, while beautifully crafted fountains, shaded areas, and inviting plazas enhance the overall experience.
