LDS Temple News Presents Redlands California Temple

Nestled in the heart of Redlands, California, the Redlands California Temple stands as a serene and beautiful Temple. Announced on April 21, 2001, this stunning Redlands Temple is the 116th dedicated Temple in operation, adding a touch of spiritual grace to the region.

The Redlands California Temple is conveniently located at 1761 Fifth Ave, Redlands, CA 92374, making it easily accessible for visitors and congregants alike. The excitement surrounding its construction culminated during the Open House, which welcomed the public from August 9th to September 6th, 2003, allowing many to experience its beauty firsthand before its dedication.

Dedicated by the beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, the Redlands California Temple is built on an expansive 4.6-acre lot, beautifully sharing parking facilities with a nearby chapel. The exterior features a stunning light gray granite that gleams under the California sun, while a single attached spire proudly supports a beautiful gold-leafed Angel Moroni, which was placed atop the Temple on March 13, 2003, standing 13.5 feet tall.

Inside, the Redlands California Temple offers two instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all within its impressive 17,300 square feet. The Temple reaches a height of 130 feet, allowing it to grace the skyline at an elevation of 1,722 feet.

Notably, it holds the distinction of being the fifth Temple built in California and the third in Southern California. It also marks a significant milestone as the first Temple constructed in the Inland Empire, making it a treasured part of California. The Redlands California Temple is not just a place of Temple work; it’s a beacon of hope and peace, inviting all who hold a Temple recommend to experience its profound beauty and spiritual significance.
