Local residents had an opportunity to explore the site during a public open house, which took place from April 8 to 15, 2000. The dedication of the Temple came with a momentous occasion when it was consecrated by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson.

The exterior finishes are crafted from gray granite quarried near Sharon, Vermont, lending a unique aesthetic to its design.
