This year, Temple Square invites even more visitors to share in the festive cheer while the iconic Salt Lake Temple undergoes its remarkable renovations, set to culminate in a grand reopening celebration in April 2027. Though the scaffold-clad temple may be temporarily inaccessible, the lights illuminate the area nightly from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., creating a stunning backdrop for holiday moments that will last a lifetime all the way through January 1st!
As you meander through the dazzling pathways, soak in the joyful atmosphere brought to life by spectacular light displays and the vibrant energy of downtown Salt Lake City. Be sure to stop by the magnificent Christmas tree at City Creek Center, marvel at the charming candy windows at Macy’s, and experience the captivating The Turning Season installation at the Eccles Theater. For a little extra magic, glide under the stars at the Gallivan Center’s ice rink, where the Glow installation adds an enchanting touch to your bubbly winter evening.

The Roof Restaurant – Indulge in breathtaking views paired with delectable holiday dishes at this newly remodeled dining gem, now open and taking reservations since November 14th!
The Church History Museum – Discover this hidden treasure where you can enjoy delightful musical performances, marvel at Victorian Christmas décor, and interact with the Giving Machines, which embody the spirit of giving during this joyful season. The museum is welcoming guests from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays.
