The story of the Name_Me Temple began on October 2, 2004, when it was announced to much excitement and anticipation. The official groundbreaking and site dedication took place on August 5, 2006, presided over by Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. He remarked, “It is a great tribute to our people. They are so faithful in temple attendance, and it is for this reason that we construct this beautiful house of the Lord.”

Following years of hard work and devotion, the public was invited to an open house from January 15 to March 14, 2009, where an impressive total of 684,721 guests explored the Temple and witnessed its beauty firsthand.
