The journey of the Fort Worth Texas Temple began on October 3, 2021, when it was announced by Prophet Russell M. Nelson during the General Conference. Following this announcement, a monumental groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 28, 2023, presided over by Elder Jose L. Alonso. This event marked a significant milestone, emphasizing the community’s appreciation for the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Architectural Features
This House of the Lord is built on 9.37 acres and boasts a total area of 30,000 square feet. It features a central spire, which is uniquely designed and does not include a gold leafed Angel Moroni, a choice that has led to speculation regarding its absence. Inside, it includes two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, designed to accommodate various functions.
