LDS Temple News Presents the Lehi Utah Temple House of the Lord Holiness to the Lord

On April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans for the Lehi Utah Temple during the 194th Annual General Conference. This temple will be constructed on a 22.48-acre site located at the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi, Utah.

The Lehi Utah Temple will feature a unique architectural design, including a single attached central spire, and will not include the traditional gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni, which has been a common feature in many other temples. The structure will cover a total area of 85,000 square feet and will be built at an elevation of 4,085 feet above sea level.

As of now, no ground-breaking date has been set for the temple. However, the public was given a first look at the temple’s rendering on February 24, 2025, generating enthusiasm within the community.

Lehi is situated in Utah’s rapidly growing technology sector known as Silicon Slopes, which has become a hub for many innovative companies and startups. The Lehi Utah Temple will be the 30th temple announced in the state of Utah, which is home to approximately 2.2 million Latter-day Saints—nearly two-thirds of the state’s population. These members are organized into more than 5,400 congregations statewide. This area was originally settled by pioneers in 1850, and the establishment of the temple is expected to strengthen the spiritual and community ties within Lehi and the surrounding regions.
