LDS Temple News Presents the Lehi Utah Temple

On April 7, 2024, during the 194th Annual General Conference, President Russell M. Nelson announced the construction of the Lehi Utah Temple. This new temple will be located on a 22.48-acre site at the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi, Utah, an area known for its rapid growth and development.

The Lehi Utah Temple is designed to feature a single attached central spire, distinguishing it from many other temples that commonly include a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni. The temple will encompass a total area of 85,000 square feet, providing ample space for worship and community activities. Additionally, it will be situated at an elevation of 4,085 feet.

While a specific ground-breaking date has not yet been set, interest in the temple is on the rise, especially since the official rendering was released to the public on February 24, 2025. This rendering will give the community a glimpse of the beautiful design and architecture they can expect.

Lehi is part of Utah’s thriving technology region, often referred to as Silicon Slopes, which has attracted many businesses and professionals. The Lehi Utah Temple will be the 30th temple announced in Utah, which is home to nearly 2.2 million Latter-day Saints—approximately two-thirds of the state’s population. These members are organized into more than 5,400 congregations. The city itself was first settled by pioneers in 1850, and the addition of this temple will enrich the spiritual landscape of the area.

The Lehi Utah Temple is anticipated to serve as a center for worship, community engagement, and spiritual growth for Latter-day Saints in the region and beyond.
