LDS Temple News Presents the Lindon Utah Temple

The Lindon Utah Temple is on the brink of becoming a magnificent addition to the picturesque landscape of Utah County. Standing proudly at three stories tall and covering approximately 87,005 square feet, this architectural marvel will feature double spires of equal height, creating a stunning silhouette against the Utah sky.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 23, 2022, led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson, who offered heartfelt prayers for the temple’s future and the blessings it would bring to the community. His invocation for peace, love, and unity echoes the very spirit that this sacred space aims to foster.

As for its design, the Lindon Utah Temple boasts a granite exterior that suits its elegant yet sturdy presence. The main entrance is located on the north end, leading visitors into a sanctuary that houses four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and two baptistries, all designed to provide spiritual guidance and a sense of serenity.

One of the standout features of the temple is the thoughtfully planned landscape. In the northeast corner, a charming gathering area will cater to bridal parties wishing to capture their special moments with the temple or beautiful Mt. Timpanogos in the background. The surrounding parking area is designed in a circular manner, bordered by an ornate black fence, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

The temple site spans 11.87 acres and includes a 1,500-square-foot maintenance area, ensuring that this sacred structure remains pristine. It’s not just about the building; it’s about creating a place where the community can come together.

Excitement continues to grow as the public open house approaches, scheduled for March 12 to April 11, 2026, leading up to the highly anticipated dedication ceremony on May 3, 2026. This event will be broadcast to all units in the temple district, ensuring that everyone can partake in the joy of this momentous occasion.

Choosing to build in Lindon—a small but vibrant city nestled between Orem and Pleasant Grove—underscores the religious community’s devotion to supporting its members. With approximately 11,000 residents, the city is set to benefit greatly from this beautiful temple, the twenty-fifth in Utah and the seventh in Utah County.

The Lindon Utah Temple is not just a building—it is a beacon of hope, a sanctuary of peace, and a testament to faith in the heart of Utah Valley. As we await its completion, we look forward to witnessing the richness it will bring to the lives of many.
