An open house ran from March 24, 1999, to March 29, 1999, attracting an impressive 46,000 attendees, far exceeding expectations by 16,000 visitors. The momentous occasion of the dedication took place on April 16, 2000, officiated by Apostle James E. Faust.

The Medford Oregon Temple is designed with stunning architectural elements and covers 10,700 square feet of space on a 2-acre site. Notable features include an exterior finish of gray granite quarried from Mount Airy, North Carolina, and a single attached end spire crowned with a gold-leafed Angel Moroni statue.
