On April 4, 2021, President Russell M. Nelson made the announcement for the construction of the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple. This announcement marked a significant moment for the faith, especially as Oregon is home to over 154,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across more than 300 congregations.
Groundbreaking Ceremony

Architectural Features
The architectural design of the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple features a single attached central spire, giving it a distinctive and elegant silhouette. Inside, the Temple comprises two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all designed to facilitate a unique spiritual experience.

The formal dedication, officiated by Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, will occur on June 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a rebroadcast at 2:00 p.m.
