The journey to the Fort Collins Colorado Temple began on April 2, 2011, when it was announced by Prophet Thomas S. Monson. The site officially broke ground on August 24, 2013, during a dedicatory ceremony led by Ronald A. Rasband. This moment marked the start of an ambitious endeavor that would take years to culminate.
After years of anticipation, the Temple opened its doors to the public for an open house from August 19 to September 10, 2016. During this time, an impressive 105,000 people took part in tours, providing an opportunity for many to connect with this beautiful location. The dedication of the Fort Collins Colorado Temple occurred shortly thereafter, on October 16, 2016, conducted by Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
Architectural Details
Spanning 42,000 square feet and rising to a height of 112 feet, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple boasts a stunning design featuring beige concrete panels. It sits gracefully on 15.69 acres, complemented by a chapel located just across the residential street.
