The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is an exciting addition to the area, set to enhance the spiritual landscape of Oregon. This Temple is located at 3701 Corporate Way, Springfield, Oregon, and spans 10.5 acres with a total construction size of 30,000 square feet and a height of 120 feet.

On April 4, 2021, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans for the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple. This announcement came amidst a growing population of over 154,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the state. Since settlers arrived in 1887, Oregon has seen the establishment of more than 300 groups for Latter-day Saints.
Elder Valeri V. Cordón officiated the groundbreaking ceremony on October 29, 2022, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Oregon’s spiritual history.
Architectural Features
The architectural design of the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple features a single attached central spire, embodying a classic aesthetic that is both inviting and inspiring. Inside, the Temple includes two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry.
Floral Design
The floral elements throughout the Temple will feature beautiful Dogwood and Laurel flowers, adding a touch of nature to the serene environment.
Timeline of Events
- Media Day: Scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2026.
- Invited Guests Tour: April 21 and 22, 2026.
- Public Open House: April 23 – May 9, 2026, excluding Sundays.
- Dedication Ceremony: Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will dedicate the Temple on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a rebroadcast at 2:00 p.m.
