The Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple is a major new temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2200 Temple Hill Dr, Provo, UT 84604. Announced by President Russell M. Nelson on October 3, 2021, the project represents one of the Church’s largest temple builds in recent years and is expected to be completed in late 2027.
Site and general facts
- Address: 2200 Temple Hill Dr, Provo, UT 84604.

- Will be the 6th temple in the state of Utah.
- At the time of the temple’s announcement (October 3, 2021) there were roughly 16.8 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide and about 500 congregations in Utah.

Context and significance
This temple will be one of Utah’s significant temple projects by size and scale, reflecting continued growth and investment in sacred facilities in the region. With a prominent granite exterior and a single central spire design, the Rock Canyon Temple will be a notable addition to the Provo temple hill area and to the Church’s temple footprint in Utah.
