Exciting Developments at the Lehi Utah Temple
The anticipation surrounding the Lehi Utah Temple continues to grow as updates pour in about this remarkable project. One of the most recent milestones is the installation of the retaining wall, marking a significant step in its development.
Scheduled to sit on a spacious 22.48-acre site, the Lehi Utah Temple is designed to be a substantial structure, boasting an impressive 85,000 square feet. A unique feature of this new edifice is its single attached central spire; notably, it will not include the traditional gold-leafed Angel Moroni, giving it a distinctive architectural flair.
The Lehi LDS Temple will also share a parking area with a new meetinghouse, enhancing accessibility for visitors and community members alike. Located at an elevation of 5,008 feet, it will undoubtedly offer striking views of the surrounding area, making it not just a place of significance but a beautiful landmark as well.
The announcement for this temple came on April 7, 2024, during the 194th General Conference. A rendering was unveiled to the public on February 24, 2025, showcasing the Lehi Temple’s impressive design. On April 22, 2024, the official location was revealed: 3950 N Center St, Lehi, Utah 84043.
This temple will mark the 30th addition to the growing number of temples in Utah, reflecting the vibrant and expanding community of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the state, which boasted approximately 2.2 million members and 5,400 congregations at the time of the announcement.
Currently, the Lehi Utah Temple remains in the planning stages, and an official construction date is yet to be announced. As we await further updates, the excitement within the community continues to build for what is sure to be a magnificent addition to Lehi and beyond. Stay tuned for more information on this monumental project!
