On April 7, 2024, an exciting announcement took place during the 194th Annual General Conference: President Russell M. Nelson revealed plans for the Lehi Utah Temple! Set to rise on a beautiful 22.48-acre site at the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi, Utah, this temple promises to become a stunning landmark for the community.
With a striking single attached central spire, the Lehi Utah Temple will stand at an impressive elevation of 4,085 feet. It will encompass 85,000 square feet of sacred space, designed to inspire and uplift. Notably, this temple will not feature the traditional gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni, making its architectural style unique and distinctive.
Although there is no ground-breaking date scheduled just yet, the anticipation is building. A glimpse of what’s to come was provided when the temple rendering was released to the public on February 24, 2025, sparking excitement throughout the community.
Lehi, a vibrant part of Utah’s booming technology hub known as Silicon Slopes, will proudly welcome its 30th temple. This region is home to nearly 2.2 million Latter-day Saints, making up about two-thirds of the state’s population, and organized into over 5,400 congregations. The city’s rich history began in 1850 when pioneers first settled there, and now, with the upcoming temple, it will further enhance its spirit of faith and community. As plans for the Lehi Utah Temple unfold, the future looks bright and full of promise!
