On April 7, 2024, an exciting announcement reverberated through the community as President Russell M. Nelson unveiled plans for the new Lehi Utah Temple during the 194th Annual General Conference. Nestled in the heart of Lehi, Utah, this remarkable temple will occupy a generous 22.48-acre site at the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street, setting the stage for a beautiful centerpiece in the area.
A striking architectural feature of the temple will be its single attached central spire, a unique design choice that departs from tradition by not including the gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni. Spanning an impressive 85,000 square feet and perched at an elevation of 4,085 feet, this temple promises to be a magnificent addition to the skyline.
While the community awaits the groundbreaking date with eager anticipation, the temple’s stunning rendering has already captivated the public, having been revealed on February 24, 2025.
Lehi, a vibrant city located in Utah’s thriving Silicon Slopes, is poised to welcome this 30th temple in the state. As a hub of innovation and technology, Lehi is also home to nearly 2.2 million Latter-day Saints—about two-thirds of Utah’s population—organized into over 5,400 congregations. With a rich history that dates back to its settlement by pioneers in 1850, the Lehi Utah Temple is set to become a beacon of faith and community for generations to come.
