On April 7, 2024, a significant announcement resonated during the 194th Annual General Conference: President Russell M. Nelson unveiled plans for the new Lehi Utah Temple! Nestled on an impressive 22.48-acre site at the vibrant intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi, this temple is set to become a beautiful landmark in Utah.
The Lehi Utah Temple will feature a stunning design with a single attached central spire, but interestingly, it will not have the iconic gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni. Spanning a spacious 85,000 square feet, this sacred space will rise majestically at an elevation of 4,085 feet, providing breathtaking views.
Though there isn’t a ground-breaking date yet, excitement is already building, especially after the captivating rendering of the temple was revealed to the public on February 24, 2025.
Lehi, often referred to as part of Utah’s dynamic Silicon Slopes, is poised to become even more vibrant with the addition of the Lehi Utah Temple. This will be the 30th temple announced for Utah, a state that is home to nearly 2.2 million Latter-day Saints—making up about two-thirds of the population—across more than 5,400 congregations. It’s remarkable to think that this city was first settled by pioneers in 1850, and now it stands on the brink of a new chapter in its inspiring story!
