Following almost 18 months of construction, the public open house occurred from October 8th to the 23rd, 1999. Subsequently, the House of the Lord was dedicated by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley on November 20th and 21st, 1999. Accompanied by notable Church leaders, President Hinckley spoke of the significance of the Temple in fulfilling eternal purposes and offered prayers for all who would use this beautiful edifice.
