Discovering the Boise Idaho Temple: A Treasure in the Heart of Idaho

Nestled in the vibrant city of Boise, the Boise Idaho Temple is a noteworthy destination that has captivated visitors since its announcement on March 31, 1982. The commitment to its construction was marked by a significant event on December 18, 1982, when the groundbreaking and site dedication took place, led by Apostle Mark E. Petersen. This moment drew a sizable crowd, with approximately 5,000 members attending to witness the beginning of what would become a cherished location.

The temple occupies an expansive 4.83 acres and showcases a striking exterior crafted from white granite that was quarried in China. Standing at an impressive height of 112 feet, it features six distinct spires topped by a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni, installed on February 16, 2012. The architectural beauty is not just in its height; the building encompasses a total area of 35,868 square feet and is designed with four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all who visit.

One of the most memorable events surrounding the Boise Idaho Temple was its last public house, which took place from October 13 to November 10, 2012.
