Welcome to the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple, a delightful haven in Yukon, Oklahoma! As the 95th dedicated temple, it has been spreading joy and inspiration to countless visitors since it first opened its doors.

The journey began back in 1999 when the temple was announced on March 14, stirring excitement throughout the community. Just a few months later, on July 3, 1999, the groundbreaking ceremony was held, led by Elder Rex D. Pinegar. Fast forward to July 8-22, 2000, when the temple welcomed everyone during its first public open house. It was thrilling for many to see this beautiful space come to life! The official dedication followed on July 30, 2000, led by Apostle James E. Faust, making it a truly memorable occasion.

With its lovely beige limestone exterior and a striking single spire topped with a gold-leafed Angel Moroni statue, the temple is not only gorgeous from the outside but also features beautiful Italian marble finishes inside. The peaceful grounds, complete with a charming fountain, offer a perfect spot for reflection and tranquility. Inside, you’ll find inviting spaces, including two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all designed with love to create a warm atmosphere for all who visit.

The Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple serves not just Oklahomans but also friends from neighboring states like Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri. It even hosted a second public open house from April 24 to May 1, 2019, allowing even more guests to explore this welcoming space before its rededication on May 19, 2019, by Apostle Henry B. Eyring, following some thoughtful renovations.

Standing tall at 83 feet 9 inches and perched at an elevation of 1,202 feet, the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple truly represents hope and community spirit. It was the first temple built in Oklahoma and initially served a devoted district of 9,000 members. With its friendly atmosphere and rich history, it continues to be a cherished sanctuary for all who enter. Come and experience the love and beauty that the temple has to offer!
