Welcome to the Phoenix Arizona Temple! This beautiful site, located at 5220 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, is not just the 144th dedicated temple in operation; it’s a special place where community and spirituality come together.

The story of this temple starts on May 24, 2008, when the beloved Prophet Thomas S. Monson announced that a fifth temple would be built in Arizona. His words were heartfelt: “The blessings of the temple are eternal.” He envisioned this temple as a space where people could feel God’s love and deepen their understanding of their divine purpose.

On June 4, 2011, the excitement grew as the groundbreaking and site dedication took place, led by Apostle Ronald A. Rasband. After years of hard work and dedication, the temple finally opened its doors to the public from October 10 to November 1, 2014, during a delightful open house, allowing everyone to explore its beauty before the big dedication.

The grand occasion took place on November 16, 2014, with Prophet Thomas S. Monson leading the dedication. Spanning an impressive 64,870 square feet and standing 90 feet tall, the temple sits on 5.19 acres of lovely grounds. The outside features gorgeous precast integral colored concrete panels and boasts a stunning gold-leafed Angel Moroni statue that was placed on top on May 15, 2013.

Step inside, and you’ll find a peaceful atmosphere with two instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a lovely baptistry where important family moments can take place. Plus, there’s a chapel nearby in the shared parking lot, making it easy for visitors to connect and temple work together.

The Phoenix Arizona Temple is more than just a building; it’s a warm, welcoming place where individuals and families can come together to reflect, learn, and grow spiritually. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, be sure to stop by and experience the inviting spirit that fills this special temple!
