Mesa Arizona Temple Christmas Lights

Mesa, Arizona Temple Christmas Lights 2025 Part 1 – Christmas Light Display at the LDS Temple

The Mesa Arizona Temple is such a beautiful and historic place! It’s the 7th dedicated temple in operation and is located at 101 S. LeSueur, Mesa, Arizona 85204. Did you know it was announced way back on October 9, 1919?

The temple recently had a public open house, which lasted from October 16 to November 20, 2021, hosted by Prophet Dallin H. Oaks. It’s set on a lovely 20-acre site and boasts a stunning exterior finished with concrete reinforced by 130 tons of steel, all with a gorgeous glazed eggshell look.

Architecturally, the temple features a flat roof adorned with sculpted friezes, which are quite eye-catching! Inside, you’ll find four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all within a spacious 75,000 square feet. The temple stands gracefully at 53 feet tall and is located at an elevation of 1,240 feet.

Interestingly, it was the very first temple built in Arizona and was once known simply as the Arizona Temple. While it used to feature live acting performances, it now offers more modern displays, making it accessible for everyone. The friezes that decorate the corners of the temple symbolize Isaiah’s promise for the last days, adding even more beauty and significance to this cherished landmark!
