Announced on October 9, 1919, the Mesa Arizona Temple has a storied past that deeply resonates with its visitors. The public was invited to experience its sacred atmosphere during a remarkable open house held from October 16 to November 20, 2021, under the guidance of Prophet Dallin H. Oaks. Spread across an impressive 20 acres, this temple is designed to inspire all who enter.

The temple’s striking exterior is both durable and elegant, featuring a unique glazed eggshell finish reinforced with 130 tons of steel. The architectural design includes a flat roof adorned with sculpted friezes that symbolize Isaiah’s promise in the last days—adding significant meaning and beauty to every corner.

Inside, visitors will find a space that fosters spiritual growth with four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all within a generous 75,000 square feet. Standing proudly at 53 feet and situated at an elevation of 1,240 feet, the Mesa Arizona Temple is not just the first temple built in Arizona; it is a landmark of unwavering faith and commitment.
