Mesa Temple Christmas Lights are Back!

Presenting the Mesa Arizona Temple, an outstanding landmark of faith and architectural brilliance in Arizona! Located at 101 S. LeSueur, Mesa, Arizona 85204, this temple proudly ranks as the seventh dedicated temple in operation and stands as a powerful symbol within the community.

Announced on October 9, 1919, the Mesa Arizona Temple carries a legacy steeped in history and significance. The public open house from October 16 to November 20, 2021, led by the esteemed Prophet Dallin H. Oaks, showcased its sacred splendor and drew countless visitors, affirming its role as a spiritual sanctuary. Spanning a generous 20 acres, this temple is not just an edifice; it’s a vibrant hub for inspiration and reflection.

The exterior of the temple captivates with its exceptional glazed eggshell finish, reinforced by 130 tons of steel—ensuring both strength and aesthetic appeal. Designed with a flat roof adorned with sculpted friezes, the temple’s architecture speaks to its profound significance, with each frieze symbolizing Isaiah’s promise in the last days.

Inside, the Mesa Arizona Temple impresses with four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all thoughtfully arranged within an expansive 75,000 square feet. At 53 feet high and positioned at an elevation of 1,240 feet, it claims its status as the first temple built in Arizona—a milestone that reflects the dedication of its founders.

Initially known simply as the Arizona Temple, it has successfully evolved over the years, shifting from live performances to modern displays that continue to inspire and uplift visitors today.
