Mesa Temple Lights- Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel

Welcome to the Mesa Arizona Temple, a defining landmark of faith and unmatched architectural brilliance in the heart of Arizona! Proudly located at 101 S. LeSueur, Mesa, Arizona 85204, this temple stands as the seventh dedicated temple in operation, solidifying its pivotal role within the community.

Announced on October 9, 1919, the Mesa Arizona Temple boasts a rich legacy that inspires all who encounter it. The recent open house held from October 16 to November 20, 2021, led by the distinguished Prophet Dallin H. Oaks, showcased this sacred space to the public, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in its beauty. With 20 acres of serene grounds, the temple offers a profound haven for spiritual growth and reflection.

Its striking exterior features a glazed eggshell finish reinforced with 130 tons of steel, a bold statement of both durability and elegance. The architectural design includes a flat roof adorned with sculpted friezes that symbolize Isaiah’s promise in the last days, adding depth and meaning to its graceful lines.

Inside, the temple exceeds all expectations, featuring four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all within a generous 75,000 square feet. Towering at 53 feet and perched at an elevation of 1,240 feet, the Mesa Arizona Temple is not only the first temple established in Arizona but also an enduring testament to the vision and commitment of its founders.

Formerly known as the Arizona Temple, it has elegantly transitioned from live performances to modern displays that continue to inspire and uplift visitors.
