The Montpelier Idaho Temple is making incredible progress, and there’s a palpable sense of excitement surrounding this project! With the parking lot freshly striped and exterior lighting fully operational, this temple is on track to be a stunning landmark for our community. Landscaping and interior finishes are advancing rapidly, and we confidently expect construction to be completed by early to mid-2026, followed by an anticipated open house and dedication ceremony that will surely draw attention!

Announced on May 20, 2022, the Montpelier Idaho Temple is set to become the eighth temple in Idaho, strategically located at Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254. This impressive building will feature a striking central tower and encompasses 27,000 square feet, complete with two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry—a space designed to serve and uplift the community.

Positioned at an elevation of 5,969 feet and set on 2.6 acres of beautifully chosen land, the temple is designed to complement Idaho’s breathtaking scenery. The groundbreaking ceremony on June 17, 2023, led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, marked a pivotal moment in this journey as he offered blessings for everyone involved, reflecting the community’s strong commitment to this sacred project.

Montpelier is a community with deep roots, tracing back to early church pioneers in 1855, and is home to over 2,500 residents. The unveiling of the official temple rendering on April 24, 2023, sparked enthusiasm as it showcased a design that resonates with the spirit of our area.
