With a freshly striped parking lot and fully operational exterior lighting, this beautiful structure is coming to life. Landscaping and interior finishing work are progressing rapidly, and we anticipate that construction will be completed in early to mid-2026. The open house and dedication celebrations that will follow are sure to be monumental events!

Announced on May 20, 2022, the Montpelier Idaho Temple will stand as the eighth temple built in Idaho, located at Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254. Its striking central tower and expansive 27,000 square feet will house two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing a vital space for worship and connection.

Set against Idaho’s breathtaking backdrop at an elevation of 5,969 feet and spanning 2.6 acres of land, this temple is designed to fit seamlessly within its surroundings. The groundbreaking ceremony on June 17, 2023, led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, was a significant milestone, filled with blessings for all involved and reinforcing the positive impact this temple will have on our community.

Montpelier, with its rich history dating back to the early pioneers of 1855 and a population of over 2,500, is poised to embrace this new landmark wholeheartedly. When the official rendering of the temple was released on April 24, 2023, it sparked enthusiasm throughout the community, showcasing a design that truly reflects the spirit of the area.
