The Mesa Arizona Temple is a wonderful place to visit and learn about! It’s the 7th temple dedicated and is located at 101 S. LeSueur, Mesa, Arizona 85204. This beautiful temple was announced back on October 9, 1919.
If you’re ever in the area, you would have loved the public open house that ran from October 16th to November 20th in 2021, hosted by the Prophet Dallin H. Oaks. It’s set on a spacious 20 acres, making it quite the sight!
The architectural details are stunning too! The exterior is finished with reinforced concrete and adorned with a lovely glazed eggshell color. Plus, it features a flat roof with sculpted friezes that add to its charm. Inside, there are four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a wonderful baptistry, all within 75,000 square feet of space.
Standing at 53 feet tall and built on an elevation of 1,240 feet, this temple is the first temple built in Arizona! Originally named the Arizona Temple, it has evolved over time and now offers more modern displays instead of live acting. You’ll notice the beautiful friezes at each top corner of the temple, symbolizing Isaiah’s promise in the last days. It’s a truly inspiring place!
