Welcome to the Moses Lake Washington Temple, the 182nd dedicated temple in operation and a true gem for the community! This beautiful temple was announced by Prophet Russell M. Nelson during the 189th Annual General Conference, and it’s been a source of excitement ever since. With about 290,000 visitors attending the open house, it’s clear that so many are eager to experience this special place.

On September 17, 2023, the temple was officially dedicated by Apostle Quentin L. Cook, a moment that many have been looking forward to. The journey actually began earlier, on October 10, 2020, when Brother Stapleton led the groundbreaking and site dedication, setting the stage for this spiritual haven that now sits on 17 acres of beautifully landscaped land.

The anticipation continued to grow when the exterior rendering was revealed on April 7, 2020. The design features a stunning single-story building of approximately 20,000 square feet, complete with a beautiful central spire. And let’s not forget the spacious meetinghouse right next door, which adds another 17,000 square feet for community gatherings and events.

The temple’s exterior is finished with gorgeous Branco Cristal granite from Portugal, giving it a majestic look that perfectly complements its surroundings. Standing tall at 117 feet and sitting at an elevation of 1,157 feet, it truly stands out in the landscape. Inside, you’ll find two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a lovely baptistry—all designed to create a welcoming environment for worship and reflection.

One of the highlights of the temple is its charming blossom motif, which adds a touch of beauty and warmth. The border pattern takes inspiration from local Native American culture, creating a lovely connection to the area’s rich history.

As you explore the interiors, you’ll be greeted by elegant flooring made of marble, carpet, and porcelain tile. The art glass inside reflects the exterior design, creating a cohesive feel throughout the temple. Features like the bronze and glass railings add a touch of elegance, making every corner a delight to behold.

Even the doors, stained in a rich cherry finish with decorative hardware made of bronze and brass, are designed with care and thoughtfulness. And don’t miss the celestial room, featuring a beautifully painted ceiling with decorative details and a stunning dome—you won’t want to leave once you step inside!

The Moses Lake Washington Temple isn’t just a structure; it’s a welcoming space for everyone, inviting you to explore, connect, and find peace. Come and experience this lovely addition to our community—it’s truly a special place!
